What is Erasmus+?
Erasmus + is the European Union’s education, training, youth and sport program for the period 2021-2027. Erasmus + is a key EU tool that will pursue the objectives and guidelines of the European Education Area document in order to prepare Europe for digital and green change with the participation of all EU members.
The purpose of the Erasmus + program is to raise the quality of education and training and thereby strengthen the social cohesion and competitiveness of the Union’s economy. High-quality, inclusive education and training, as well as informal and non-formal learning, provide young people and participants of all ages with the qualifications and skills needed for their important participation in a democratic society, intercultural understanding, and successful labor market transitions.
Build on the success of the Erasmus + program in 2014-2020, Erasmus + is stepping up its efforts to increase the opportunities available to more participants and a wider range of organizations, focusing on qualitative impact and contributing to more inclusive, active, green and digital literate societies.
Erasmus + wants to enable the participation of as many individuals as possible, especially those from environments with fewer opportunities, and highlights the contents and activities of integration, environmental protection (green Erasmus) and the transition to a digital society and active participation in democratic life.
