Access to literature
Dear students,
At the beginning of the academic year when we are dealing with the containment of the COVID-19 virus, we make additional efforts for you to obtain study materials. Resources available online can help you:

In light of the problems with the spread of the virus and the resulting restrictions, once more late fees will not be charged until further notice! The material is available for loan via personal collection in front of the faculty (Mestni trg 23) or by mail. Prior notice and reservation are required for personal collection.
Since October 19, 2020, we will use a systematized process for personal collection, which we ask you to adhere to. The latter also applies to material you ordered before that date.
3 steps are required to reserve material:
on COBISS + in our library in Ljubljana you reserve the books you need (for sending: up to 3 books / for personal collection: there is no limit), you can also reserve them via e-mail (knjiznica@nova-uni.si)
Let us know at knjiznica@nova-uni.si whether you want personal collection or home delivery by mail with the name and address of the recipient.
In case of sending, you will receive an invoice which we ask you to pay; in case of personal collection, you will be notified when the material is ready.
Personal collection will be possible:
– on Mondays and Thursdays from 10 am to 5 pm. Upon arrival at the faculty, please call us at tel. 01 251 44 85. Upon receipt, an identity document must be presented.
In case of sending, we will provide you with the material you need when we receive confirmation of payment from the accounting department. Please note that the entire process will not necessarily be feasible in one day.
If you cannot reserve the book yourself, you can of course send the desired titles to the library’s web address, but the book, if it has already been reserved systemically, will be assigned to that user, and we can make a reservation for you if there are no other copies available.
For all of you who have borrowed books, we will be grateful if you return them so that your colleagues can also borrow them. You can bring the books to Mestni trg 23 (Monday or Thursday from 10 am to 5 pm) and call library’s telephone number.
In case of purchasing materials, we ask you to use on-line orders as much as possible. You can also order material for purchase via e-mail. Upon confirmation of payment by the accounting department, we will prepare the material for you to collect or we will send it by mail. During the personal collection at the entrance to the faculty, call the library number (Monday or Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
For all of you who are not yet members of UKNU (University Library of New University), you can also join from home, just send a completed and signed enrolment form to knjiznica@nova-uni.si.
